KS2 Karate Kata Competition - December 2018

In December 2018, we welcomed KS2 children from Oakfield, The Brow and Murdishaw West Primary schools to join us for our first ever Karate Kata inter-schools competition. It was a really exciting morning of competition with all children participating at a very high standard. The atmosphere was electric by the time the last few remaining pupils were competing. All the children supported each other at every stage of the way.

Throughout the competition, Joe Obiro (Halton School Games Organiser) was present and he commented afterwards on how impressed he was with the organisation of the event and the execution of skills he saw.

We were delighted that two of our own children (Phoebe Barton - Y6 and Sonny Powell - Y5) received 2nd and 3rd place medals. Congratulations also to Mrs Davies for organising such an exciting event at our school.
