Sycamore Class - KS2 Resource Base - Mrs Stapleton 2024 - 2025

Welcome to Sycamore Class! This is a special class that caters for children who have additional SEMH (social, emotional and mental heath) needs. We can accomodate up to 8 children from Year 3 to Year 6 at any time and they are supported by 3 adults. Our days may feel different than a mainstream class but we follow the same themes as the rest of the school. Teaching and learning times are broken into shorter periods of time and there is greater focus on developing resilience and improving emotional well-being.

Our classroom environment is lovely and includes a retreat area that children can use if they need some quiet time or if the need to re-regulate. We also have access to a lovely, secure outdoor area which includes some permanent outdoor gym equipment.

We endevour to communicate regularly with parents and carers and welcome their involvement in school life.
